Expanded eligibility for Business Development Fund use in 2023

Existing Buildings and existing multifamily trade allies have been eligible to receive reimbursement for marketing projects, training courses and personal protective equipment approved by Energy Trust for several years. The program is expanding the use of Business Development Funds in 2023 to include a more extensive list of products and services needed to assist in the growth of your business.

Business software, certification costs, licensing fees, trade-specific tools, tablets and laptops, and payroll services have been added to the eligibility list in 2023. The full list, including newly eligible items, is available on the Existing Buildings Business Development Fund Guidelines Insider page.

Please note that all expenses must be pre-approved, so please check with Energy Trust prior to making a purchase. Fill out the pre-approval form to ensure the purchase is eligible under the program guidelines. Additional details and the pre-approval form are also available on Business Development Fund Guidelines Insider page.

If you have questions about the availability of Business Development Funds, please reach out to your trade ally coordinator or contact Heath Heiberg, Existing Buildings trade ally manager.
