Updated solar installation requirements are now available on Energy Trust’s website. Some of the changes include:

• The program no longer requires that a separate AC output meter be installed on solar electric systems that include inverters that meet the eligibility criteria. Refer to Section 2.7 for more information.
• The requirement to guard all readily accessible PV source and output circuits—such as may be found on ground mounted arrays—was explicitly stated.
• A note was added to requirement 2.4.4 that clarifies for asphalt shingle roofs the approved industry-standard method of flashing requires the use of some type of flat metal flange on all penetrations.
