Register for American Institute of Architects presentation and tour at Worthy Brewing in Bend


Energy Trust is pleased to sponsor an upcoming educational event hosted by the American Institute of Architects Southwest Oregon Chapter in Bend.

Join the project design team for an in-depth tour of the new expansion and remodel of Worthy Brewing. The 4,138 square foot addition and 3,260 square foot deck was completed in February 2017. You’ll have the opportunity to view the unique structural systems required for the observatory that includes a deep space telescope, varied structural, mechanical and lighting systems, unique mosaic and interior finishes, and a new roof deck. The tour will be topped off with a short presentation by representatives from Energy Trust and a presentation by the Oregon American Institute of Architects President Seth Anderson, principal of Ascent Architecture, on the upcoming changes to Oregon’s state American Institute of Architects organization. Free pizza is included. 1.5 AIA Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) continuing education credits are available.

  4. Review the energy code and design considerations, emphasizing the trade-off approach for meeting code with insulation methods to counter the amount of glazing, presented by Ascent Architecture & ML Vidas of Energy Trust
