Take your homes to the next level with two new Energy Trust of Oregon incentive packages. Builders that are part of Energy Trust’s EPS™ New Construction offering can take advantage of the net-zero and energy smart homes incentives.
Net-zero:
Building a net-zero home means greater energy efficiency, a home that is solar powered and qualifies for EPS and solar incentives, in addition to potentially being eligible for an Oregon solar rebate and a federal tax credit.
Homes that qualify for net-zero incentives must meet the following requirements:
- Receive electricity from Pacific Power or Portland General Electric
- Host an early design assistance meeting including the builder, verifier and solar trade ally
- Receive an EPS that is at least 20% above baseline
- Have solar installed to offset 100% of the electric load
Builders are eligible for the following net-zero incentives:
Incentive Type | Incentive Amount | Incentive Description |
---|---|---|
EPS Whole Home Incentive | $1,123 to $5,223 per home | Based on efficiency above a typical newly built home |
Net Zero | $750 per home | Flat incentive for homes that meet net-zero requirements |
Early Design Assistance Meeting | $1,000 per development (EPS verifier and solar trade ally must be present) | Incentive available to builders who convene an early design assistance meeting |
Energy smart homes:
Energy smart homes are energy efficient, solar ready, electric vehicle (EV) ready and storage ready. They are built to be at least 10% more efficient than a typical newly built home, include features that help integrate into the smart grid and are ready for future renewable options and other opportunities.
Homes that qualify for energy smart homes incentives must meet the following requirements:
- Receive electricity from Pacific Power or Portland General Electric
- Receive an EPS
- Be solar ready or install solar
- Be EV ready
- When applicable, include additional features like smart thermostats and smart electric water heating
Two add-on incentives to the energy smart homes base package include solar + storage ready and advanced wiring.
Builders are eligible for the following energy smart homes incentives:
