Welcome new Eastern Oregon account manager Caryn Appler

Headshot of new Eastern Oregon Outreach Managers, Caryn Appler. Please join us in welcoming Caryn Appler to Energy Trust’s outreach team. Caryn recently joined Energy Trust in the role of Northeast Oregon outreach manager. In this new role, Caryn will support customers and trade allies with technical and participation questions, represent Energy Trust at events and develop relationships with local organizations to help build customer awareness of Energy Trust incentives and services. She will also serve as a resource for program outreach staff in the northeast part of the state.

This isn’t an entirely new role for Caryn. Many Northeast Oregon trade allies will recognize her from her previous position as CLEAResult’s Northeast Oregon account manager, where she focused on Energy Trust’s Residential program, developing relationships with trade allies and residential customers across the region. Prior to that, Caryn worked for Wenaha Group, a native-owned construction project management company, and the Intermountain Education Service District, where she focused on procurement.

Caryn’s new position encompasses not only Home Retrofits and EPS New Construction, but also includes all other Energy Trust programs. Additionally, Caryn will work with local community-based organizations to raise awareness of Energy Trust among their constituents, potentially leading to new opportunities for trade allies.

The majority of Caryn’s professional experience has focused on communications, marketing, procurement and community outreach. She loves this type of work because it offers chances to advocate for the resource needs of rural communities. She brings deep experience and commitment to serving people in Northeast Oregon, where she has lived and worked for more than 12 years. She recognizes and embraces the independent personality of each town and county in her region.

When she isn’t working, Caryn is engaged in local civic efforts in Pendleton, where she resides, serving as a commission member for Pendleton Parks and Recreation and as a board member and ceramics instructor for the Pendleton Center for the Arts. She and her husband enjoy taking long motorcycle trips, sightseeing, camping and staying in small towns in out-of-the-way places.

Please congratulate Caryn on her new role with Energy Trust! You can reach her at 541.561.1221 or caryn.appler@energytrust.org.
