The Design Light Consortium (DLC) is scheduled to de-list products that do not meet Solid-State Lighting (SSL) v5.1 requirements on June 30, 2022. The de-listing scheduled for June 30, 2022, is expected to have a significant impact on the number of products that are actively listed under the most current standard (SSL v5.1 as of July 1, 2022). Many products, in particular, most TYPE A and TYPE B TLEDs, will be de-listed because they are not dimmable. Other products will be de-listed because they do not meet some of the new color quality requirements or they did not submit the necessary product information to get re-listed under v5.1.
Energy Trust of Oregon will allow SSL v5.0 qualified products to remain eligible for Business Lighting incentives through the end of the current Business Lighting program year. This means that trade allies can continue to use the current standards and product lists to sell through current product stock. The DLC SSL v5.1 requirements will become mandatory at the launch of the 2023 Business Lighting program year. The 2023 program year start date will be announced in Q4 2022.
