Savings Within Reach eligibility criteria extension

Energy Trust refreshed the Savings Within Reach income requirement thresholds on July 1, 2020, extending eligibility to customers who have experienced employment disruptions related to COVID-19. This temporary eligibility change will remain in effect through June 30, 2021.

Customers are eligible to participate in Savings Within Reach if they have experienced employment disruptions related to COVID-19 and are eligible to receive local, state, and/or federal assistance or are eligible to participate in a community-based emergency fund grant system. Examples of assistance programs include, but are not limited to:

  • The Oregon Department of Employment’s Unemployment Insurance (UI) Benefits and/or the current federal CARES Act or future federal unemployment assistance programs related to COVID-19 relief efforts (currently includes the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) benefits and/or the CARES Act Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Program (PUA)).
  • A wage replacement emergency fund for culturally specific communities of the state that are not eligible to receive public benefits such as the Oregon Worker Relief Fund.

This temporary eligibility will be in effect for installations through June 30, 2021. Updated forms will be distributed to trade allies enrolled in Savings Within Reach and Savings Within Reach On-Bill Repayment. If you would like to participate in these offerings or if you have any questions, please email the Residential trade ally team or call 1.866.365.3526.
