Incentive Updates

Production Efficiency incentive limit increases effective January 1, 2022

Due to successful implementation of budget management tools in 2021, Energy Trust’s Production Efficiency program is able to increase incentive limits in 2022. This is great news for industrial and agricultural customers looking for ways to save energy and costs.

The following new incentive limits went into effect on January 1, 2022:

Standard projects

The incentive limit is $40,000 per system type, per year, per site for industrial and agricultural sites in Oregon. Customers may submit multiple incentive applications per site in 2022, but together they may not exceed the $40,000 limit for each of the following system types.

  • Agricultural equipment
    • Greenhouse
      • Reglazing (requires pre-approval)
      • Boiler upgrades (requires pre-approval)
      • Rebates (all considered as a single system type for the incentive limit)
      • Infrared polyethylene greenhouse cover
      • Condensing unit heater
      • Intelligent greenhouse controller with night setback
      • Under-bench heating
      • Thermal curtain
    • Irrigation
      • Variable frequency drives (VFDs) for irrigation pumps (requires pre-approval)
      • Drip, linear and pivot irrigation system conversions (requires pre-approval)
    • MESA, LESA, LEPA, PMDI Rebates (all considered as a single system type for the incentive limit)
      • Upgrade for systems with VFD
        • High pressure to MESA
        • High pressure to LESA/LEPA/PMDI
        • MESA to LESA/LEPA/PMDI
      • Upgrade for systems without VFD
        • High pressure to MESA
        • High pressure to LESA/LEPA/PMDI
        • MESA to LESA/LEPA/PMDI
      • Premium irrigation rebates (all considered as a single system type for the incentive limit)
