As part of our ongoing efforts to offer cost-effective savings to customers, Energy Trust reviews and updates our incentives on a regular basis. As a result of this process, window incentives for certain Existing Multifamily property types will change effective June 1, 2016.

With this update, the incentive amounts available for most multifamily window projects and property types remain the same and in some cases may increase. However, these changes will reduce or discontinue incentives for certain types of window projects installed in the following multifamily property types, effective June 1, 2016:

  • Electric heated two- to four-plex and/or single-story buildings, that are not condominiums, which are installing windows with U-Value 0.28 – 0.30: The available Energy Trust incentive for these types of projects is being reduced from $2.00 – $3.00 per square foot to $1.75 per square foot.
  • Electric heated condominiums that are stacked structures and have five or more dwelling units, which are installing windows with U-Value 0.27 or less: The available Energy Trust incentive for these types of projects is being reduced from $4.00 per square foot to $2.00 – $3.00.
  • Gas heated condominiums that are stacked structures and have five or more dwelling units which are installing windows: The Energy Trust incentive for windows in these types of properties will be discontinued.

If you currently have a customer project underway that falls under one of the scenarios outlined above, and installation will not be complete by June 1, 2016, contact Nate Collins, trade ally coordinator, at 503.278.3075 as soon as possible and before June 1, 2016, to discuss whether your project may be eligible for an extended installation deadline of September 30, 2016. Extended installation dates will only be made available for projects about which Energy Trust is notified prior to June 1.
