Existing Homes star rating adjustments occur April 1

Star ratings for Existing Homes trade allies will be reevaluated and adjusted on April 1, 2015. Trade allies will be emailed a copy of their new star rating, based on the past 12 months of participation. Trade allies will receive a zero-star, half-star or full-star rating in each of the following categories:

  • Customer service—A full star is earned by following the customer service requirements in Energy Trust’s trade ally participation agreements, and having fewer than four unresolved customer complaints on file with Energy Trust.
  • Quality performance—A full star is earned by meeting Existing Homes technical specifications and passing quality verifications.
  • Program service—A full star is earned by submitting incentive applications without missing information or disqualifying measures.

The combined star rating (zero to three stars) for each Existing Homes trade ally is displayed in Energy Trust’s Find a Contractor web search. The star rating determines a trade ally’s level of access to business development funds and other exclusive offerings, such as instant incentives.

For complete details on how the star rating is determined, see the new star rating system description. Following April 1, the next star rating update will be October 1, 2015.
