2026 Industrial Business Development Funds are available

Energy Trust of Oregon would like to remind industry and agriculture trade allies about Business Development Funds (BDF) available to active Production Efficiency trade allies.

The Business Development Fund helps enrolled trade allies grow their businesses by reimbursing eligible expenses such as marketing, tools, training, and other professional development activities that support energy-efficiency work. Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis and typically reimburse up to about $3,000 annually for qualifying expenses. Trade ally firms that are COBID certified, are located in rural areas, or are minority, veteran or women-owned businesses, are eligible for up to $4,000 in reimbursement. If you’re a trade ally looking to build your capabilities, expand marketing, or invest in tools or training, BDF can help offset those costs.

The full Production Efficiency BDF budget of $60,000 is still available as of the date of this article.

All BDF projects and training reimbursements require pre-approval. Pre-approval confirms project and training eligibility but does not reserve funds. Please note that final invoices must be submitted within 60 days of pre-approval and within 15 days of release of marketing projects or training/event dates.

To apply, please fill out this BDF application. For detailed Business Development Fund guidelines, review the BDF Guidelines page.
