Changemaker Rachel Maas helps advance environmental justice initiatives


Rachel Maas, director of climate action at Central City Concern (CCC), is leading efforts to advance environmental justice and energy efficiency for communities facing the greatest challenges. Her work brings together community development, sustainable design and social equity to create healthier, more resilient spaces for those most in need.

Rachel’s journey began with a passion for sustainability and helping others, which she has carried through 14 years at CCC. Her leadership is driving innovative programs that reduce energy use, improve environmental health and foster resilience in vulnerable populations across Oregon.
