Active Existing Buildings, New Buildings, Business Lighting, Production Efficiency or Existing Multifamily trade allies are eligible to receive reimbursement through the Commercial Business Development Funds (BDF) for marketing projects, equipment, training and more as approved by Energy Trust of Oregon.

As of this writing, more than 80% of the available Commercial BDF budget has been disbursed. Once the budget has been fully utilized, no additional applications will be approved until the Commercial BDF refreshes its annual allocation on January 1, 2026. Additionally, no expenses incurred in 2025 will be eligible for reimbursement in 2026.

We urge trade allies who have approved projects that are still within the 60-day window from the date of approval to submit all required accompanying documentation for reimbursement. As a reminder, all BDF reimbursements require pre-approval, which confirms eligibility but does not reserve funds. Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that final invoices must be submitted within 60 days of pre-approval and within 15 days of the release of your project or training/event date.
