2026 Smart-E Loan origination fees

Energy Trust of Oregon evaluates trade ally fees (origination fee per closed loan) for the Smart-E Loan product on an annual basis. These fees are intended to cover necessary and optional program activities for delivering the Smart-E Loan. The fee structure will be set annually based on market conditions and program priorities for the coming year. The 2026 trade ally fees for the Smart-E Loan will be 1% (e.g. $300 for a $30,000 loan). This change became effective February 1, 2026 for all eligible projects and is automatically applied in National Green Energy Network (NGEN) for any new jobs submitted.

Smart-E Loans are intended to give customers another option for financing their solar projects without the negative surprises sometimes associated with other solar financing offers. If you would like to enroll in the Smart-E Loan offer, please contact your account manager or email smart-e@energytrust.org
