Energy Trust announced new increased residential incentives for 2026 in late 2025 to help market rate customers as the industry transitions away from federal tax credits. These increased 2026 incentive rates became available in PowerClerk on September 15, 2025 for residential projects with an estimated completion date in 2026.
If you have projects reserved at 2025 incentive rates that will be installed in 2026, and the customer will not be eligible for the federal tax credit, please reach out to solar@energytrust.org by February 28, 2026 so those projects can be converted to the higher 2026 incentive rates. Customers will need to sign an updated incentive agreement, and projects must be installed in 2026. Energy Trust will check AHJ inspection approval dates to confirm that only projects installed in 2026 receive the increased 2026 incentive rates.
