Solar development assistance and battery development assistance projects that also included installation incentives historically proceeded to the commercial installation queue in PowerClerk after a feasibility report was reviewed and approved. The project ID would remain consistent throughout the development assistance and installation incentive processes.
That process has changed. As of February 27, 2026, trade allies must indicate that an approved development assistance project is moving forward with an installation incentive. A new project ID will be created and the project will automatically be submitted to ‘Funds Reserved’ status in PowerClerk. The workflow will remain the same, however there will now be two separate PowerClerk project IDs for the customer. The two project IDs will be marked as ‘Related Projects’ for quick reference. Development assistance projects are ‘complete’ once they are in ‘SDA Approved’ status. This change will assist Energy Trust of Oregon in managing customer data.
