Commercial tank water heaters greater than 91 percent thermal efficiency are eligible for an incentive of $4 per kBtu/h. High-efficiency water heaters save energy for years to come. Condensing water heater technology is now a mainstay with manufacturers. Paired with modulating burners and controls, thermal efficiencies over 95 percent are becoming commonplace in the water heating market.
