Modulating boiler burners help reduce energy use in condensing and non-condensing hot water boilers and steam boilers. Modulating burners are designed to control the burner output (size of flame) to match the boiler’s variable load requirements. The burner is designed to stay at the correct fuel air ratios across the complete firing range, which ensures maximum combustion and boiler efficiencies.
An incentive of $2.00/kBtuh input is available for projects that:
- Replace a dual-stage or on-off burner with 5:1 turndown ratio or higher
- And are installed in a condensing or non-condensing type hot water boiler or steam boiler
