Energy Trust will align home energy scoring for Existing Homes with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Home Energy Score. In 2017, Energy Trust will no longer offer EPSTM for existing homes, instead aligning with Department of Energy’s Home Energy Score.
This change was shared at Energy Trust’s Conservation Advisory Council meeting in May 2016, and follows a decision made by a home energy scoring stakeholder group led by the Oregon Department of Energy.
Energy Trust will provide additional information as transition plans are finalized. Contractors may continue to offer EPS for Existing Homes through the end of 2016. These changes will not affect Energy Trust’s New Homes program, which will continue to offer EPS in 2017.
