If you’re a trade ally working in the Portland metro area, you may already be closer to new project opportunities than you think. Energy Trust’s Existing Buildings program has long supported eligible commercial customers in Southwest Washington, yet it’s a region that can sometimes be overlooked.
For contractors looking to grow their pipeline, Southwest Washington offers a practical way to expand your reach without expanding too far. Many of the same incentives available to Oregon customers also apply to qualifying Washington customers, helping reduce upfront costs and making it easier to move projects forward.
A recent project with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington is a strong example of what’s possible. With support from Energy Trust, the organization upgraded insulation to improve efficiency and lower operating costs. The savings are now being redirected to support programs for local youth.
Projects like this aren’t unique. Many commercial buildings in Southwest Washington served by NW Natural may qualify for incentives. If you already work with customers who have locations on both sides of the Columbia River, there may be untapped opportunities in your existing network.
Energy Trust also provides trade allies with added support, including technical guidance and business development funding to help with marketing, training or equipment. These resources are available to help you win more projects and grow your presence in markets like Southwest Washington.
