In December, there will be two Performance Tested Comfort Systems (PTCS) training courses on duct sealing and heat pumps offered in Portland and Bend.
PTCS Heat Pump Certification Training
This one-day training covers the PTCS heat pump commissioning protocol and Bonneville Power Administration’s specifications and requirements. Technicians certified will be able to commission heat pumps to qualify for incentives through BPA, public utilities and Energy Trust. Recommended prerequisites include heat pump theory and equipment and installation experience.

PTCS Duct Sealing Certification Training
This two-day training prepares contractors to perform duct sealing work for BPA utility programs. Contractors will spend time in the classroom learning the basics of PTCS duct testing and sealing, then spend time out in the field applying what they have learned. This course qualifies contractors to perform PTCS duct services in existing homes. By participating in this course, attendees will learn the basics of duct sealing, blower door and duct blaster testing, and the nature and importance of duct leakage in a home.
