As part of the business lighting and industrial project process, customers have the option of assigning incentives to their trade ally. Trade allies who are unaware of this option miss out on a great opportunity to make their projects more cost competitive by reducing upfront costs for their customers.

Trade allies can reduce upfront customer costs by taking assignment of incentives. If the customer agrees, the trade ally can reduce project costs by the incentive amount and be reimbursed by Energy Trust once the project is complete. This can make the project more financially attractive to the customer, encouraging them to buy more efficient equipment and move forward more quickly.
