Energy Trust is a sponsor of the 2024 Green Building Tour hosted by The Environmental Center in Bend. The tour highlights green and sustainable home construction and will take place Saturday, September 28 in Central Oregon.

By attending the tour, builders and industry professionals will get the opportunity to network and see new high-performance buildings that prioritize cost-effectiveness, occupant health and resilience. Attendees will also learn about tools to navigate barriers to building highly efficient homes.

The Environmental Center is taking a new approach to this year’s tour by providing attendees with a full day of activities. Attendees can expect workshops, educational booths, presentations and field demonstrations on local energy-saving solutions. Key topics will include:

• Building dense livable cities
• Electrification
• Water resiliency in the high desert
• Healthy materials life cycle analysis (LCA)

Seven sites will be available to tour in the afternoon. Bend Bikes will offer a guided bike tour, which covers all seven sites. Electric bikes will also be available for use.
