Energy Trust reviews and updates the Home Retrofit Specifications Manual each year to reflect changing program requirements, input from field staff and feedback from trade allies. The 2022 edition will go into effect—and be available for download from Insider’s Home Retrofit Forms page—June 30, 2022.

Trade allies may request one printed copy of the manual. Copies of the English version will be mailed by early July. To request a copy, please complete this quick survey by May 31, 2022.

The survey is an opportunity for trade allies to review and provide feedback on the proposed updates. Energy Trust appreciates your feedback and will consider it when finalizing changes to the manual.

The proposed 2022 updates are as follows:

• Central air conditioner specifications section
  Requirements have been developed around time-delay relays on central air conditioners.
• Hybrid (heat pump) water heaters
  Hybrid (heat pump) water heaters are no longer allowed to use exhaust-only ducting.
• Measure changes
  The 2022 manual reflects all updated and discontinued measures as of January 1, 2022.
• Spanish translation
  The 2022 manual will also be available in Spanish by late July.
