The Oregon Department of Energy is offering $1 million in tax incentives for Renewable Thermal projects

The Oregon Department of Energy is accepting Renewable Thermal project applications in January. Application deadlines are January 30 and February 27, 2015. Renewable Thermal projects use renewably sourced thermal energy such as solar, biomass or geothermal directly, without converting the renewable resource into electricity. Types of projects can include biomass boilers and solar thermal. Applicants can apply for tax credits, which cannot exceed 35 percent of eligible project costs.
