EPS New Construction

New increased energy efficiency incentives available

Energy Trust and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) were awarded a Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) to help lower greenhouse gas emissions across the state. Thanks to this federal funding, builders are now eligible for new incentives on every EPSTM home that is at least 10% above the 2023 Oregon Residential Specialty Code (ORSC).

Builders with EPS homes that are 10% or more above code qualify for an additional $750 federal funding incentive. The federal funding also allows EPS to offer an increased add-on incentive of $1,550 for homes in Oregon that meet the criteria of being affordable, rural and/or Tribal.

New whole-home energy use incentive range

Whole-home energy use incentives now range from $1,000 for homes that are 5% more efficient than code to $4,100 for homes that are 20% more efficient than code. The increased federal funding incentive is included in this range once homes meet 10% above code.

Percent above codePrevious incentive New incentive with federal funding
Home built 5% above code$1,000N/A
Home built 10% above code$1,550$2,300
Home built 15% above code$2,350$3,100

Increased federal funding incentives will start to be available for all eligible EPS homes that are certified after the week of May 16, 2025. Work with your Energy Trust trade ally verifier to get the most out of these EPS New Construction offers.
