New Existing Buildings incentives

Packaged vegetables and veggies at a street fair.Energy Trust will launch several new incentive offerings for Existing Buildings customers soon. The On-Demand Overwrapper incentive, outlined below, is offered for equipment purchased on or after July 1, 2019. The Gas-fired Automatic Conveyor Broiler incentives are offered for equipment purchased on or after April 14, 2019 for Oregon customers and July 1, 2019 for Washington customers.

What is an On-Demand Overwrapper?
An energy smart, on-demand overwrapper is a hand-wrap machine for packaging foods and other perishable products in grocery and convenience stores. Unlike a traditional overwrapper, the seal plate of an on-demand overwrapper only takes seconds to reach seal temperature. An on-demand overwrapper also consumes less power than a traditional model through the use of a timer-controlled heated seal plate and a thermistor-controlled circuit that engages as residual heat increases in the seal plate.

What is an Automatic Conveyor Broiler?
An automatic conveyor broiler contains one to four belts on which food is placed, either directly on the belt, or in pans that travel on the belt. Automatic conveyor broilers combine the principles of over-fired and under-fired broilers using a stainless-steel belt to convey and consistently cook large quantities of food. Automatic conveyor broilers can bake, broil, heat and melt a wide variety of food items in a shorter period of time, and with less labor, than other broiler types.
