Existing Buildings

Existing Buildings lighting incentive changes effective January 1, 2016

The 2016 Lighting Tool and 190L lighting incentives list will be released just prior to the 2016 Commercial and Industrial Lighting Trade Ally Sessions in January. The new Lighting Tool will be required for all new projects submitted on or after February 1, 2016. Until the new 2016 Lighting Tool is released, trade allies should continue using the current version of the Lighting Tool (2015 v3.2).

Some of the lighting incentives changes will include a strong emphasis on controls combined with LED technology to maximize savings. The role that legacy technologies (including fluorescent, CFL and HID) play in the program will continue to sunset as LED technology takes on a larger role across nearly all lighting applications.

If you have questions about 2016 incentive changes or the Lighting Tool, please any program lighting specialist or Aaron Leatherwood, lighting program manager, at 503.724.9375.
