Gordon’s Heating & Cooling helps local nonprofit save with smart thermostats

When the Pendleton Center for the Arts faced rising costs and an aging HVAC system, they turned to Gordon’s Heating & Cooling, a trusted Energy Trust trade ally, for help. Gordon’s recommended upgrading to energy-efficient smart thermostats alongside the new HVAC system – resulting in an installation of 12 new devices that reduced the center’s energy use while enhancing control over indoor comfort.

Thanks to Energy Trust’s cash incentives, the arts center covered the entire cost of the thermostats and installation, freeing up funds for free art classes for kids and teens. Staff praised the thermostats’ scheduling and remote access features, making the building more comfortable and easier to manage during events.

This project is a testament to how trade allies can help customers navigate energy-saving upgrades, secure valuable incentives and deliver solutions that make a difference. By working together, trade allies and Energy Trust help businesses and nonprofits save money, reduce energy use and keep their focus on what matters most.
