The Oregon Department of Energy announced new rules for the Oregon Residential Energy Tax Credit program, effective January 1, 2015.
Highlights for residential customers in 2015 include:
- New $175 tax credit for gas tank water heaters with an energy factor of 0.70 or greater
- New tax credits for direct-vent gas fireplaces with a fireplace efficiency rating of 70 percent or greater
- Increased ductless heat pump tax credits and simplified requirements
Combined with Energy Trust cash incentives, these tax credits can help make energy-efficiency improvements more affordable for your customers.
