In July, Energy Trust’s Lighting Tool will no longer be compatible with Excel version 2003 or older. Microsoft has not supported Excel 2003 since April 8, 2014, and has not offered hardware or software compatibility updates or security updates.

Trade allies must use Excel 2007 or a more recent version to access the Lighting Tool, which will receive extended support from Microsoft until 2017. Find more information about Microsoft product lifecycle information here.

We understand that this may be an inconvenient upgrade for some of you. However, because of the growing incompatibility issues and security risks, it is important for Energy Trust to stay current with technology and support software that is safe and effective.
