Energy Trust’s EPSTM New Construction team hosted a solar + storage webinar on April 3, 2025 that covered solar + storage offers, how to qualify for incentives, case studies, consumer research and more. The webinar also discussed early design assistance.
EPS solar + storage incentives
Energy Trust offers incentives for both model and non-model homes with solar + storage installed, along with net-zero homes. Builders can receive the following incentives:$5,000 to $7,000 per solar + storage installed home
- $3,000 to $5,000 per net-zero home
- $200 for installing EV-ready measures
How to qualify for solar + storage offers
To receive solar + storage incentives, the system design must be documented with a physical layout diagram that accurately describes locations of major system components. The solar system in a net-zero home must be sized to offset annual electric use. See below for links to full requirements:
- Solar Ready & Solar + Storage Ready Residential Installation Requirements
- Solar + Storage Installed Design and Installation Requirements
- Net Zero Residential Installation Requirements
Early design assistance (EDA)
EPS offers a $500 – $2,500 incentive per development for meeting with critical team members early in the design/construction process. EDA meetings are essential to strengthening communication among the design team, verifier and subcontractors. These meetings also optimize the design for solar + storage so installation can be straightforward. EDA meetings are required for homes seeking solar + storage installed and net-zero incentives.
