Home Energy Reviews and recycling: Services offered but not incentivized


Energy Trust of Oregon is dedicated to connecting customers and contractors with the goal of installing energy-efficient upgrades. As part of these efforts, we’ve added a new service: Evaluate Your Home. This service is available to customers with technical questions about which upgrades might best benefit their homes.

Evaluate Your Home (EYH):

  1. Customers can call the Home Retrofit line (1.866.311.1822) to request an appointment for an Evaluate Your Home call with one of Energy Trust’s technical experts.
  2. Appointments will be available Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and can be scheduled up to 14 days in advance. (Next-day appointments may not be scheduled after 2:30 p.m.)
  3. Appointments can be scheduled for either 20 minutes, to discuss specific technical questions, or 45 minutes, for general upgrade questions.

Appliance Recycling:

In 2016 Energy Trust discontinued cash incentives for appliance recycling. Although we no longer arrange for appliance pickup and recycling, we still encourage customers to recycle their old appliances. We recommend the following resources for customers interested in these services:

  1. Earth911.com
  2. Contacting a local junk hauler
  3. Contacting the retailer who sold the customer their new appliance
