Oregon Department of Energy will release another round of Renewable Energy Development, RED, grants this fall. These grants are available to Oregon businesses, government agencies and nonprofits that want to invest in renewable energy. RED grants are awarded annually through a competitive application process.
Qualifying renewable energy projects include biomass, solar, geothermal, hydropower, wind, landfill gas and biogas systems or wave, tidal or ocean thermal energy technology. Generation systems cannot exceed 35 megawatts of nameplate capacity.
Grants are awarded up to $250,000 per system and may not exceed 35 percent of total project cost.
The opportunity announcement for this round of RED grant funding will be posted to the Oregon Department of Energy Business Energy Incentives website.
