Existing multifamily incentive changes coming January 1, 2026

Energy Trust recently took steps to streamline its offers for multifamily customers. Small multifamily properties, defined as townhomes, rowhomes, duplexes, triplexes and fourplexes, will be served by Energy Trust’s Residential program starting January 1, 2026. Large multifamily properties, common areas, community spaces, and campus and assisted living will still be served through Energy Trust’s Existing Buildings program.

There will be a new application process for small multifamily projects beginning January 1, 2026. Revised application forms will be available in the forms section of Insider for multifamily projects occurring on or after that date, along with a new email address: residentialforms@energytrust.org. Incentive applications for large multifamily projects should still be submitted to multifamily@energytrust.org.
