In June, Energy Trust’s board of directors approved a decision to award contracts to CLEAResult for program management of the residential program, Ecova for delivery of retail promotions and TRC for delivery of EPS whole-home new construction. Work under the contracts will begin January 1, 2018. Each contract term is for two years with three optional one-year extensions.
Energy Trust competitively bids out contracts to ensure delivery of effective services and value for ratepayers. This is in accordance with guidance from the Oregon Public Utility Commission and best practices for utilities and energy-efficiency programs.
The selection follows a decision to consolidate Energy Trust’s three residential programs—Existing Homes, New Homes and Products—into a single residential program. In addition to selecting one Program Management Contractor to manage the residential program, Energy Trust selected two Program Delivery Contractors to deliver specific market-focused program offerings that support market adoption of efficient lighting and newly constructed homes.
These changes are not expected to impact customers or most trade allies. Energy Trust will work to ensure a smooth transition for builders and verifiers. During the transition, builder and verifier contacts and work processes will remain the same through the remainder of 2017. Energy Trust, CLEAResult and TRC will work together this fall to transfer information and establish relationships. Attend the fall Trade Ally Forums to learn more about the transition.
