Existing Generation Equipment on Design Documentation

Energy Trust’s Solar+Storage verification team has noted a trend of existing PV equipment and backup generators being omitted from system design documentation.

Please be sure to include generators and other related generation and energy storage equipment on one-lines and physical layouts submitted for design review. This will help avoid design revisions or requests for information that could delay an installation. For a more detailed list of equipment required in design documentation please refer to Sections 2.1.5 & 2.1.6 of our Solar+Storage Design and Installation Requirements.

Trade Ally Contact Labels

It is important for customers and future homeowners to know who they should contact regarding a solar and/or storage installation. As a reminder, trade allies are required to provide a “permanent label or placard with the website and phone number of the installer at the inverter, AC combiner or system disconnect,” as part of Section 3.1.1 of our Solar+Storage Design and Installation Requirements.
