Trade allies can now apply for the $50 smart thermostat incentive on behalf of their customers. Submitting an incentive application provides a hassle-free experience for customers and allows trade allies to package a smart thermostat upgrade with other incentives. Online and paper applications (320C and 320WA) have been updated to reflect these changes.

Smart thermostat incentive details:

• Only Nest and Ecobee3 smart thermostats are eligible (note: the Ecobee3 Lite does not qualify)
• Home must be heated by electric furnace, gas furnace or heat pump with electric furnace backup
• Available as an instant incentive and can be included in Home Performance projects for qualified trade allies
