AHRI ratings for qualified condensing boilers

Energy Trust determines eligibility for the standard condensing boiler incentive using the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute’s (AHRI’s) equipment rating. All condensing boilers must have an AHRI rating of 94 percent or better. We are unable to accept manufacturer certificates, marketing materials and independent studies in lieu of the AHRI rating. You can find ratings in the AHRI Directory of Certified Product Performance.

If your customer prefers a boiler that doesn’t meet AHRI’s 94 percent efficiency rating, it may still qualify for a custom incentive. To be eligible for custom incentives, a project must provide energy savings and meet Energy Trust’s cost-effectiveness requirements. Be sure to contact us before equipment is purchased and the job is started. Visit Energy Trust’s website to learn more about commercial high-efficiency heating incentives.

If you have questions about custom incentives, or encounter a boiler with a stated efficiency of 94 percent or better that isn’t listed in the AHRI directory, please contact Aaron Lazelle, trade ally coordinator, at 541.460.1517.
