Energy Trust will discontinue certain incentives for Existing Homes’ customers after April 30, 2015. These changes follow a September 30, 2014 Oregon Public Utility Commission decision on a portion of natural gas energy-efficiency measures and programs supported by Energy Trust. These measures had been available to customers through an OPUC exception to cost-effectiveness requirements.

The following changes will go into effect after April 30, 2015, based on the OPUC decision:

Customers in Oregon

  • Floor, wall and rim joist insulation incentives for Oregon homes heated with gas will be discontinued. These incentives will still be available for electrically heated homes.
  • Duct insulation incentives in Oregon homes will be discontinued for both gas and electrically heated homes.
  • Air sealing incentives will be discontinued for Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® and Savings Within Reach projects. Air sealing incentives will still be available for Existing Manufactured Homes projects.

To be eligible for an incentive that is expiring, customers must have the work installed by April 30 and submit their application within 60 days of the date the work was installed.
