To qualify for Energy Trust cash incentives for heat pumps, contractors must confirm that all heat pump evaporator and condensing units are compatible according to Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) specifications before submitting projects for an incentive. See section HP 1.0 for heat pump specifications in the 2016 Specifications Manual. Projects that do not meet this requirement are not eligible to receive an incentive.

The quality management team may reach out to confirm compatibility by requesting an AHRI Certified Reference number. Visit the AHRI heat pump directory to determine compatibility.
