As part of a general rate case, the Oregon Public Utility Commission directed the administration and delivery of gas efficiency services for Avista customers in Oregon to be transferred from Avista to Energy Trust. Avista is an electric and natural gas company with customers in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. In Oregon, Avista provides gas service to more than 90,000 customers in Roseburg, Medford, Klamath Falls, La Grande and surrounding areas.

Energy Trust will begin delivering our full range of gas services to all types of  Avista’s Oregon customers in 2017. In late 2016, Energy Trust will begin serving Avista customers on a limited basis offering of residential showerheads through retail channels and efficient ignitions for gas hearths through distributors. Avista’s current energy-efficiency offerings will continue through 2016.

Energy Trust trade allies will be eligible to serve Avista customers in 2017, just as they are able to serve customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural and Cascade Natural Gas. Additional updates will be provided in future issues of Insider.
