New in 2016, telephone equipment rooms now qualify for a server room mini-split air conditioner incentive of $200 per ton.

This new incentive was added after a trade ally asked for a solution to help a customer keep a telephone equipment room cool. Energy Trust determined that the telephone equipment room environment is similar to the server room environment and made telephone equipment rooms eligible to receive the server room mini-split air conditioner incentive.
