Energy Trust reviews and updates incentives each year to ensure they remain cost effective. The following changes went into effect on January 1, 2019, and only apply to Existing Buildings projects in Oregon. Any incentives not listed below remain at 2018 levels.
Some key changes include:
- Electric combination oven—The incentive for electric combination ovens has increased from $750 to $1,000 in 2019.
- Spa cover—A new incentive for spa covers is available at $100 each.
- Dishwashers—Incentives for dishwashers are available on new types of equipment including: “multi-tank conveyers” and “pot, pan and utensil.”
- Steam traps—Incentives for steam traps will now be offered for dry cleaners, low pressure systems and medium pressure systems. The incentive structure has changed from $250/trap to $0.40-$0.90/lb/hr of trap capacity.
- Ice machines—The incentives for ice machines have been discontinued.
- Electric steam cooker—The incentive for electric steam cookers has increased from $1,300 to $2,500 in 2019.
