Tips and tricks for Residential trade allies

Fast payment tip of the month

Missing or incorrect application information can delay processing by weeks until they are fully resolved. To avoid payment delays with your incentive reimbursement and/or rebates to your customers, double-check:

  • The customer’s name on the application should match the payee’s information on the submitted invoice. If they’re different, provide an explanation of why, such as a note that they are co-decision makers for the home or authorized management of the property.

Incentive tip of the month

Maximizing heat pump and extended capacity heat pump incentives:

  • If you are replacing an electric forced air furnace in a single-family rental, attached residence or income-eligible home that did not have a heat pump, and you are installing an extended capacity heat pump (ECHP), your project may be eligible for the $3,000 incentive under standard heat pumps (HPs). The ECHP must meet HP eligibility to apply. View all heat pump incentives: energytrust.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/HES_PI0320I-HP.pdf
