The trade ally portal is an interactive website for Energy Trust Home Retrofit trade allies. The portal makes it easy to see project details and alerts if project documentation is missing. Using the portal, you can also see the number of days until your next star rating review and link to the Online Application Form.

Q: How can I change my user password?
A: Changing your password is easy. First, go to the Trade Ally Portal login page. Below the “Username” field at the top of the page, you’ll see in blue a “Forgot password?” link. When you click the link, a “Reset Password” pop-up window will open. Enter your email address to receive a temporary password through email, which you can use to create a new password.

Q: How can I register new users for my company?
A: As a portal administrator, you can add new users at any time. Go to the “My Business Tab.” In the upper right-hand corner and next to your username, select the “Manage Users” link.

On the “Manage Users” page, below the list of your existing users, you’ll see an “Add Users” button. Hit the button, complete the form and hit the “Submit” button. Your new user will be emailed a password.

Q: How can I deactivate an employee from the portal?
A: Portal administrators can deactivate employees at any time. From any portal location, go to the upper right hand corner of the page and select “Manage Employees” (which is below your username and next to log out).

On the “Manage Users” page, find the employee on the list of existing users. In the “Portal Account” column, click “edit”.

Look towards the bottom of the edit page and find “TA Portal Account.” Uncheck the box under “Active” and click “Update Portal Account.” The employee will no longer have access to the Trade Ally Portal.

Q: How up-to-date is the information in the Project Details page?
A: Information in the Project Details page is populated in real time as it is entered in our systems. If you believe you see a discrepancy in this information, please call the Home Retrofit Trade Ally Team at 1.866.365.3526 option 4.

Q: Is there a way to export the projects on my dashboard into a Word document?
A: At this time, your project information can be downloaded to Excel only. As with any Excel document, you can select and copy the Excel data and paste it into a Word document.

Q: How do I change my business address from what is displayed on the “My Profile” page?

Q: How do I update the main contact person for my company on the Find a Contractor search tool?
A: As a portal administrator, go to the “My Business” tab and locate the “Services & Specialties” link that displays all enrollments. Each program enrollment contains a drop-down list of your company contact names. Select your new primary contact from the drop-down options. Your new information will be reviewed within one business day by a Trade Ally Coordinator. Once reviewed, your website information will be refreshed with the updated information.

Q: What should I do if the portal indicates one of my projects is missing information, but I believe I submitted it already?
A: Submitted information can take up to 7 days to process. If it has been over 7 days, please call the Incentive Processing Team at 1.866.311.1822.

Q: What should I do if I don’t see all my projects in the portal?
A: If you submitted a project on a paper application it can take up to 2 weeks to be input by our team and visible in the Portal. If a project that you submitted on paper over two weeks ago is not in the portal, please call the incentive processing team at 1.866.311.1822.

We regularly make updates to our online tools and applications. Information is regularly stored on your computer when you visit our sites, including when you use Energy Trust’s online tools. The information is stored in your browser’s cache to help provide faster access and load times. Regularly clearing out your cache will help ensure that you are accessing the latest version of the portal and will help avoid access issues.
