Pacific Power Blue Sky funding available for community-based renewable energy projects


Solar panels on poles in the parking lot of the Rogue Valley Airport.Starting July 9, 2018 Pacific Power’s Blue Sky program is accepting funding applications for renewable energy projects through August 17, 2018.

The program, funded by more than 60,000 Blue Sky customers, is available to help cover the cost of installing renewable energy systems for non-residential, community-serving organizations within the Pacific Power service area. Those systems include solar, wind, hydropower, biopower, etc.

Since 2006, the Blue Sky program has added 105 renewable energy projects across California, Oregon and Washington. You can view a full list of community projects that have received funding regionally, statewide and close to home.

This is a competitive grant process, applicants must submit a completed application form along with supporting materials by 5 p.m. on August 17, 2018. In addition to funding from the Pacific Power Blue Sky grant, applicants may also be eligible to receive Energy Trust of Oregon cash incentives for qualifying solar projects.
