DESCRIPTION:Gain a first-hand\, behind-the-walls look at the features and benefits of ‘Zero Energy’ homes. \nJoin Energy Trust of Oregon for guided CE home tours in the Laurel Garden Cottages development of Ashland where all homes will earn Energy Trust of Oregon EPS® and Earth Advantage Zero Energy certification.  \nThe 12-home development is being built by KDA Homes\, LLC and will provide outstanding energy performance thanks to high performance features and systems that will significantly reduce power demands and allow rooftop solar PV to supply all the energy that will be needed for the homes. \nAttend this tour of under-construction homes and learn what it takes to achieve the ‘Zero Energy’ standard. You will get a first-hand look at what features go into these homes\, gain helpful resources\, and learn the variety of ways to communicate the health\, comfort\, savings\, and durability benefits of high performance homes to clients. \n‘Zero Energy’ homes are an average of 30% more efficient than code built homes and generates as much energy on site as it uses over the course of a year\, making it essentially require zero energy. \nThese homes will feature several highly efficient\, environmentally friendly and healthy home characteristics:\n•    Advanced building envelope and air tightness\n•    High efficiency mechanical systems (ductless heat pump & heat recovery ventilation)\n•    Solar PV systems installed\n•    Additional durability\, water saving\, and high performance features \nQuestions?
