Areas that typically saw mild summer temperature experienced day time highs exceeding those of Las Vegas.\nPortland’s summer design temperature is 86F. It’s clear that using 86F as a design temp would result in unsatisfied customers and maybe a few lawsuits. What design temperatures should be used\, and will the capacity of the air conditioner be at the selected design temperature?
