Electronic signature and utility net metering paperwork available soon through PowerClerk

Solar_insider_sigEffective March 31, Energy Trust solar trade ally contractors will be able to complete Level I net metering applications for Pacific Power or Portland General Electric projects, as well as collect electronic signatures from their customers, using PowerClerk.

PowerClerk is the online incentive application and project tracking program for Energy Trust’s solar program. By providing a central location for project data that is accessible to trade allies, verifiers and program staff, PowerClerk decreases the time necessary to process and approve applications, while at the same time providing trade allies the ability to track their active projects through the whole process.

Adding electronic signature capability is the most recent offering in Energy Trust’s ongoing solar cost reduction initiative. Based on the recently released Benchmarking Oregon Solar Soft Costs 2014 Installer Survey Analysis, online signatures could save solar trade allies up to two hours on average for each residential solar project.
